Comments: The groEL promoter was PCR-amplified from M. tuberculosis genomic DNA, cloned into the pCR2.1 TOPO-TA cloning vector and subsequently isolated as a BamHI/XbaI piece that was subcloned into pSUM36 cut with BamHI and NheI to remove the lacZ promoter. The GFP gene was subcloned into the HindIII site of the pSUM-groEL vector.
