Description: A basic screening measure for depression in older adults. They have a FREE iPhone APP and a FREE ANDROID APP that allows you to do the 15-item GDS on your phone and automatically calculate the results. They provide no interpretation of results, but patients with scores higher than 5 should be interviewed carefully. These apps are also available through the Android Marketplace or iTunes stores on your phones. Note: This page is under continuous development but they will try to keep translations of the scale available. Anyone with their own translation can submit it and they''ll post it.
