Description: Supports lead optimization programs and has established roster of medium throughput microphysiologic screening platforms including tissue- and tumor-on-a-chip platforms, organoid, and spheroid culture systems that will be used to evaluate efficacy and toxicity of new lead compounds and drug combinations.Provides resources to identify toxic liabilities in lead series molecules before entering pre-clinical or clinical testing. MLOTS can evaluate NME for cardiovascular, neuro, or liver toxicity relative to reference standards using in vitro screening platforms. Facility will potentially enhance the effectiveness of CPRITs drug discovery programs.
