Notes: The hemizygous rats have random insertion of calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II alpha (Camk2a)- cre/ERT2 (tamoxifen inducible Cre recombinase) transgene in the genome. This transgenic exhibits expression of cre/ERT2 fusion protein in neural populations where the mouse Camk2a promoter region found in the transgene is active. Rat Resource and Research Center
