Description: Rattus norvegicus with name SD-Tg(GFAP-cre/ERT2)AppscRrrc from RGD.
Species: Rattus norvegicus
Notes: The 'docking site ready (DSR)' rat strain, or TARGAT /TM rat strain was generated using CRISPR/Cas9. With integrase, these TARGAT/DSR rats are used as embryo donors. TARGATT rat embryos will be microinjected with a mixture of TARGATT Cre DNA constructs containing human GFAP promoter, a fluorescent reporter mCherry in the Cre cassette linked by a T2A sequence. The astrocyte tissue-specific expression of a CreERT2 is also tamoxifen-dependent. Rat Resource and Research Center
