Genetic Insert: Venus
Vector Backbone Description: Vector Backbone:pBluescript; Vector Types:Bacterial Expression; Bacterial Resistance:Ampicillin
Defining Citation: PMID:35442739
Comments: Plasmid can be used to express monomeric Venus fluorophore in bacteria. We used E.coli BL21-AI (Arabinose induction) for protein production, induced 5h at 30oC. Purify protein via Nickel column chromatography. When compared with EYFP, Venus fluorophore contains the following mutations: F46L, F64L, M153T, V163A and S175G. This Venus protein contains an F224R mutation to make it monomeric.

Genetic Insert: moxGFP-P2A-T2A
Vector Backbone Description: Backbone Marker:Eric Kowarz; Backbone Size:5857; Vector Backbone:pSBbi-Pur (Addgene Plasmid #60523); Vector Types:Mammalian Expression, Transposon; Bacterial Resistance:Ampicillin
Defining Citation: PMID:34877484
Comments: The moxGFP-P2A-T2A construct was designed by Jorge L. Arias-Arias from Universidad de Costa Rica ([email protected]). It was codon optimized for human and mouse expression and includes two additional cloning sites (5' EcoRV - 3' SalI and 5' SmaI - 3' XbaI, see the map uploaded by the depositor) for the polycistronic expression of up to three genes: moxGFP and two more. This vector is suitable for transient transfection, but it was intended to be co-transfected with the transposase vector pCMV(CAT)T7-SB100 (Addgene Plasmid #34879) in order to generate mammalian cells with stable expression of the genes of interest. Enjoy!

Can't find your Plasmid?
We recommend that you click next to the search bar to check some helpful tips on searches and refine your search firstly. If you want to find a specific plasmid, it's easier to enter an RRID or an Addgene Catalog Number to search. You can refine the search results using Facets on the left side of the search results page. If you are on the table view, you can also search in a specific column by clicking the column title and enter the keywords.
If you still could not find your plasmid in the search results, please help us by registering it into the system — it's easy. Register it with Addgene.
