Genetic Insert: SARS-CoV-2 RBD
Vector Backbone Description: Backbone Marker:Eric Kowarz; Backbone Size:6625; Vector Backbone:pSBbi-RP (Addgene Plasmid #60513); Vector Types:Mammalian Expression, Transposon; Bacterial Resistance:Ampicillin
Defining Citation: PMID:36619904
Comments: The SARS-CoV-2 RBD insert was designed by Jorge L. Arias-Arias from Universidad de Costa Rica ([email protected]).
This vector is suitable for transient transfection, but it was intended to be co-transfected with the transposase vector pCMV(CAT)T7-SB100 (Addgene Plasmid #34879) in order to generate stable mammalian cells for the production of SARS-CoV-2 RBD protein. This protein can be recovered from the cell culture medium by His-tag purification.
The recombinant RBD is suitable for COVID-19 serology testing and monitoring of humoral responses in vaccinated population.

Can't find your Plasmid?
We recommend that you click next to the search bar to check some helpful tips on searches and refine your search firstly. If you want to find a specific plasmid, it's easier to enter an RRID or an Addgene Catalog Number to search. You can refine the search results using Facets on the left side of the search results page. If you are on the table view, you can also search in a specific column by clicking the column title and enter the keywords.
If you still could not find your plasmid in the search results, please help us by registering it into the system — it's easy. Register it with Addgene.
