(E6) CMV-p18 C/EBPalpha

Resource Report
Resource Website
RRID:Addgene_25881 p18 C/EBPalpha Mus musculus Ampicillin PMID:11340085 To create a non-His-tagged form of CR4, His-p18C/EBPα was linearized with HindIII, and a fill-in reaction was performed to blunt end the vector. The linearized vector was then digested with BglII, and the resulting fragment was subcloned into the BamHI-EcoRV site of pcDNA3.1(+) (Invitrogen) containing an ideal Kozak consensus sequence oligonucleotide (AGCTTGCGGCCGCCACCATGGG) 5′ to theBamHI site. p18 refers to the fact that this is an N-terminally truncated His fusion corresponding to roughly 18kDa. Backbone Marker:Invitrogen; Backbone Size:5428; Vector Backbone:pcDNA3.1 (+); Vector Types:Mammalian Expression; Bacterial Resistance:Ampicillin N-terminal truncation, contains only CR4 and bZIP domains. 2026-08-29 01:02:53 0

qz5

Resource Report
Resource Website
RRID:Addgene_25867 Gq alpha Mus musculus Ampicillin and Tetracycline PMID:8387644 This is Gq alpha with the C-terminal amino acids changed from Gq alpha to Gz alpha residues (EYNLV to YIGLC). Works the same as qi5 and is the least popular since no one knows what Gz alpha really does in nature. Since qz5 is not sensitive to pertussis toxin, qz5 may be the only G protein activated by a Gi-coupled receptor in cells treated with pertussis toxin. This trick can be experimentally useful in settings where you want experimental control of the exact G protein and the receptor that is activated. It is theoretically possible that this construct will work better than the other constructs for particular receptors, but the Conklin lab has not seen this happen yet. Contains an internal hemaglutinin epitope tag (DVPDYA) that has no effect on receptor coupling. Please see supplemental document for G-protein chimera user manual. Backbone Size:4000; Vector Backbone:pcDNA1; Vector Types:Mammalian Expression; Bacterial Resistance:Ampicillin and Tetracycline Replacement of the five carboxyl-terminal amino acids of Gq alpha (EYNLV) with those of Gz alpha(YIGLC) 2026-08-29 01:02:53 0

Can't find your Plasmid?

We recommend that you click next to the search bar to check some helpful tips on searches and refine your search firstly. If you want to find a specific plasmid, it's easier to enter an RRID or an Addgene Catalog Number to search. You can refine the search results using Facets on the left side of the search results page. If you are on the table view, you can also search in a specific column by clicking the column title and enter the keywords.

If you still could not find your plasmid in the search results, please help us by registering it into the system — it's easy. Register it with Addgene.

    1. Use quotes around phrases you want to match exactly
    2. You can manually AND and OR terms to change how we search between words
    3. You can add "-" to terms to make sure no results return with that term in them (ex. Cerebellum -CA1)
    4. You can add "+" to terms to require they be in the data
    5. Using autocomplete specifies which branch of our semantics you with to search and can help refine your search
  5. Collections

If you are logged into RRID you can add data records to your collections to create custom spreadsheets across multiple sources of data.
