Comprehensive metabolic facility, including stable isotope tracing and flux analysis. All instruments and approaches are available on fee-for-service basis to Cancer Center scientists, but alsoto outside users. Core provides ultrasound scanner, sonographer and part-time radiologist on staff to conduct clinical and pre-clinical imaging.Helps with studies involving measurement of angiogenesis, vascularity, tissue elasticity, contrast agents, and effects of various physical and pharmaceutical agents on blood flow and tissue vascularity. Studies include research on cancer, cardiovascular disease and musculoskeletal disease.
